Kindyz - private Hamilton kindergarten for children aged 0 - 5 years

Kindyz is a group of four private kindergartens located in the pleasant Hamilton suburb of Queenwood and caters to children aged 0 – 5 years. Kindyz is owned and operated by Heather and Gareth Pritchard.

Offering a fun, nurturing, structured and educational programme

All Kindyz centres provide an exciting, nurturing, stimulating and educational environment for all children in our care. Kindyz childcare centres offer structured inside and outside time with appropriate activities, educational programmes with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy, and weekly themes focussing on fun and learning.

Children can progress from Kindy Bubz (0-2 years) to Kindy Totz (2-3 years), Kindy Tweenz (3-4 years) and finally to Kindy Kidz (4-5 years). Children get a significant advantage by coming through each of our age-specific Kindyz centres as they benefit from the consistency of educational philosophy, become familiar with the routines and establish great foundations for learning that help them as they transition into school.

Professional team of dedicated early childhood teachers

Owner Heather began her teaching career at Kindy Kidz when it first opened in 1996. Having acquired extensive early childhood and primary teaching and management experience both in New Zealand and abroad she now oversees all the quality teaching and care provided by all the Kindyz centres.

Kindy Bubz for 0 - 2 years

Kindy Bubz opened in 2006 and is a privately owned kindergarten specialising in quality educational care for babies and children aged 0 to 2 years. It is fully licensed by the Ministry of Education for 25 children.

Kindy Bubz provides developmentally appropriate programmes for this age group – integrating care and education and at all times focusing on the overall needs of each individual child. Foundations for learning will be built through educational activities planned in relation to children's interests and levels of development.

Kindy Totz for 2 - 3 years

Kindy Totz is privately owned and fully licensed by the Ministry of Education for 30 children per session with four caring Early Childhood teachers. Kindy Totz opened in 1999 and relocated to its current location in November 2007.

The programme at Kindy Totz is focussed around the developmental stage of 2-3 year olds. The children begin to learn the early maths concepts - by matching, counting, using colours etc.; and the early literacy skills - by identifying their name, reading and listening to books, matching activities etc.

Kindy Tweenz for 3 - 4 years

Kindy Tweenz opened in 2007 to cater for the demand for another kindergarten specialising in children between the ages of those attending Kindy Totz and Kindy Kidz. Kindy Tweenz is privately owned and fully licensed by the Ministry of Education for 25 children per session with three qualified caring teachers and a part-time teacher.

The programme at Kindy Tweenz consolidates and extends the programme of early maths concepts and literacy skills that the children started at Kindy Totz.

Kindy Kidz for 4 - 5 years

Kindy Kidz opened in 1996 and is privately owned and fully licensed by the Ministry of Education for 25 children per session.

The Kindy Kidz programme focuses on the importance of making the transition from Kindy to school as easy as possible by equipping the children with the many skills that help them cope and to make them feel confident in themselves.
