Welcome to Kindy Totz

How it all started...

Kindy Totz originally opened on 8th November, 1999. We are privately owned, and are fully licensed by the Ministry of Education for 25 children per session, with two qualified, caring staff, and a part-time teacher. Kindy Bubz, catering for children 0-2 years old opened in 2006. In November 2007, Kindy Totz will be relocated to 2 Colman Street.  Kindy Tweenz, specializing in children 3-4 years will operate at 7 Colman Street.

Ilonca, the owner and Supervisor of Kindy Kidz, set up the first of the kindergartens, Kindy Kidz, in 1996. As demand increased, she opened the other kindergartens. She has experience as both a Primary and an Early Childhood teacher. The programme reflects this,  as she feels it is important to make the transition from Kindy to School as easy as possible, by equipping the children with many skills, to help them cope, and to make them feel confident in themselves.

The programme at Kindy Totz, follows this same philosophy, but at an earlier developmental stage.  The children begin to learn the early maths concepts, by matching, counting, using colours etc. and the early literacy skills, by identifying their name, reading and listening to books, matching activities etc.  The children progress from Kindy Totz to Kindy Tweenz, then onto Kindy Kidz,  as the routines are the same in each kindergarten,  the children settle very easily and develop on the skills they have already learnt.
