Kindy Tweenz is a private childcare kindergarten specialising in quality educational daycare for children aged 3-4 years. We are fully licensed by the Ministry of Education for 25 children per session. Kindy Tweenz opened in October 2007 to cater for the developmental stage of children between Kindy Totz and Kindy Kidz.
Kindy Tweenz has three full-time and one part-time caring Early Childhood teachers. Meet the Kindy Tweenz staff here.

Kindy Tweenz philosophy
Kindy Tweenz childcare centre offers a caring educational environment that encourages children to develop their self-awareness and the world around them so they may:
- feel confident and take responsibility for their own learning
- develop and contribute their own special strengths and interests
- develop useful and appropriate ways of learning and being creative
- be open-minded to many new and different learning experiences
Kindy Tweenz aims to equip each child with the skills which will assist them through their pre-school years and prepare them for school and beyond.
Purpose modified kindergarten premises for 3 - 4 year olds
Kindy Tweenz is a purpose-modified child daycare designed to meet the needs of all children between 3-4 years. We endeavour to provide an exciting, nurturing, stimulating, educational environment for all children in our care, with the safety of all children being of paramount importance.
20 ECE hours
Kindy Tweenz offer the 20 ECE hours. In order for us to maintain our current standard quality of education, resourcing and level of staffing, parents are asked to contribute extra per hour to cover those extra costs. For those parents who qualify for a childcare subsidy from WINZ you may choose to keep that going or opt for the 20 ECE hours.
Developmentally appropriate programmes
The programme at Kindy Tweenz follows on from the earlier developmental stage at Kindy Totz, in particular focussing on the transition from the Totz stage to the pre-school Kidz stage.
Children consolidate and continue to develop the maths concepts and literacy skills started at the earlier Kindyz, and as the routines are the same in each Kindyz kindergarten, the children settle very easily and further develop the social skills they have already learned.
